Title: IF CLAUSES / CONDITIONAL CLAUSES (Type 3)

1. If he had talked to me, I would have listened to him

2. What would you have done if you had had the winning lottery ticket?

3. I would have missed the train If I had waited for you more

4. If you hadn't lied to me before, I would have believed you

If clause/Main clause

If +Subject+Had+Past Participle of the verb/Subject+Would have+Past Participle of the verb

Conditional clauses consist of two sentences. One is a clause that begins with if (if clause) and it expresses condition. The other which is the main clause expresses the result. Both have a verb.

NB. We can start with the if clause or the main clause.
